5 Tips to Help You Be More Motivated

Most people have a goal or two they’ve set in their life. In order to accomplish your goals, no matter what they are, you need to be motivated. But sometimes keeping a positive attitude can be hard, and we end up throwing our goals away.
In order to keep yourself motivated, you need to use the following tips.

1. Choose one goal at a time.

If you want to save money and lose weight and get a promotion, you're going to stress yourself out if you try and motivate and achieve them all at once. Having too much going on is not going to help you stay motivated, but will make you tired and stressed.
Instead, choose one goal and stay motivated on that one until it's achieved. Then move on to being motivated for the next one. By spreading out your goals, you'll be more willing to keep yourself driven to keep on achieving your goals.

2. Be excited.

Get motivated by exciting yourself for your goal. If you want to lose weight, think of all the new clothes you can get or how healthy you'll be in the end. If you want to save money, think of all the things you can do with a  savings account and how less stressed you'll be when you know there's a safety net.
By picturing the end result, you'll have a better chance of keeping yourself on track.

3. Put your goal where you can see it.

Write your goal down on a piece of paper and place it somewhere you can see it everyday, such as the bathroom mirror or on the fridge. This way, you will have a daily and constant reminder of the goal you want to achieve, and this will help keep you focused on achieving it.

4. Make a public commitment.

Use social media to your advantage and tell your Facebook friends that you want to lose 20 pounds in two months. Now the you've made your commitment public, you won't find it so easy to quit. Keep sharing your progress on the site too, which will help keep you motivated. Plus, you may even earn some encouragement from others.
If you don’t have a social media account, tell as many friends and family members as possible. This way, they too can help keep you motivated, and you won’t want to show up at the next family party without any achievement towards your goal.

5. Get support.

Enlist the help of your friends and family members to help you achieve your goal. Tell them what you want to do, and they can be there to either help your with moral support or by joining in. If you want to lose weight, maybe a friend does too, and you can help keep each other on track by exercising together. It's much harder to skip exercising when someone else is depending on you too.

No matter what your goal, motivation is the key to reaching it. As a human, you’re going to feel less motivated at times, and you may often want to quit. The only way to keep yourself on track is to use these tips to keep the motivation flowing.
